How do I invite a teammate, and what do the roles mean?
Adding somebody takes three fields, under Settings, in the Team section.
- Their work email. The only required one, because that is where the invitation goes.
- Their name, so the rest of the team knows who is who.
- Their role, which decides what they are allowed to do.
Click Invite teammate. An email goes out and they choose their own password. You never see it and you never set it for them.
There are three roles, and the difference is simple:
- Administrator. Runs the company. Invites people, changes roles, and sees everything, including the cost page.
- Biller. Works the claims, all of them, but not the company settings.
- Biller with assigned claims only. Sees just the claims given to them. Suits somebody new, or a contractor.
You can change a role right in the row, at any time.
Two buttons sit at the end of every row, for the two things that really happen. Disable locks somebody out immediately when they leave. Their name stays in the list, marked disabled, so everything they ever did still has a name on it. Nothing is erased, and you can enable them again. Reset password handles the far more common problem: somebody locked out on a Monday morning.
One thing worth remembering: NPI numbers belong to the provider groups and doctors you bill for, never to your own billing company.
