The claims list Updated July 28, 2026

How should I start my billing day?

Not by staring at every claim in the office. That is not a plan, it is a wall.

You start with a short, named pile of work, and you work it down.

  1. Open the Views menu. Your saved views are waiting there by name. Nothing to rebuild.
  2. Pick the first pile. Say denied claims for one doctor. The summary line tells you how big the pile is and what it is worth, so the job has an end to it.
  3. Open the first claim and work it. The status says why, and the reason is decoded out of the payer’s code into plain English.
  4. Go back. This is the important bit. Going back drops you into the very same queue, still narrowed, exactly where you left it. Next claim, then the next.
  5. When that pile is empty, open the next view. A different question, a different pile, worked the same way.

Two other things are worth a glance before you start: the banners at the top of the claims list, which only appear when something needs doing, and any remittances marked needs reconciliation, because that is money that has not landed anywhere yet.

You can also just ask the assistant what to look at first today. It reads your real numbers and points you at what matters.
